Operating the Manta:

The compact and lightweight design of the Manta means that it takes up less space and is more maneuverable than currently available electric wheelchairs and scooters. The Manta has a wide range of indoor and outdoor uses. Manta users can move easily in and around their home. In elderly homes, the Manta saves space at, for example, the dinner table. This will make the dining experience more enjoyable for the user and reduce the workload of caregivers. The Manta is also ideal for use in the office, making it easier for the user to move to and from their desk and around the office.

The Manta is easy to transport on trips out-of-doors. It is designed to be quickly disassembled and can be packed into a medium sized suitcase for travel by car, bus, train, ship or airplane.

The Manta has a number of design features that make it both comfortable and flexible. The 8 inch air tires and suspension give the Manta outstanding drivability. The foot rest height, position and angle, as well as the arm rest height, can be adjusted according to the height of the user. The wheelbase length can be set to between 16 ¾ inches (425mm) and 18 ¾ inches (475mm). The maximum forward speed is 6 – 8 miles/hour (9 – 12 km/h). On lateral slopes, the Manta maintains a straight course. The maximum carrying weight of the Manta is 115 kg.
